Step One

Start by opening up a document of any size. Any size will do. Grab your text tool From your side bar tool and type out your desired text. Kern the text if you need to. I did a -100 kern to my text. If you are unsure how to kern text follow this tutorial. You should have something like this now.

Step Two

Next we are going to color our text, so still using the text tool highlight your text, then go up to the “almost” top of the screen where the text tool bar is located and look for a box with a color in it and change it to whatever color you would like. Below is how I have done mine. If you like how mine was done you can follow this tutorial.

Step Three

Now duplicate your layer twice. You should have three layers of the same thing. To duplicate a layer right click on the layer itself and click “Duplicate Layer”. Go back to your first layer, double click on the layer itself so it brings up a new window. Go to Pattern Overlay and use pattern one then set the Blend Mode to Soft Light, with an Opacity of 15%. If you are unsure how to add patterns to photoshop, follow this tutorial.

Step Four

Now on the same layer, with the window still open, you are going to match your settings to mine.

Your text should now look similar to this

Step Five

Now click on the second text layer. You are now going to go up to the top and go Filter >> Noise >> Add Noise and match your settings to mine.

Move the layer underneath your first layer, then select the movetool . On your key board, move the
right arrow key 5 or more times. Your text should now look like this.

Step Six

Now click on your thrid text layer, double click on the layer so a new window opens up, and set the Color Overlay to #343434. Once you have done that you are going to take the layer and drag it under the second layer (glitter layer). Then selecting the move tool again, you are going to tap on the right and down until you can see the layer. Your text should now look like this.

Step Seven

For the final step you are going to create a new layer, and drag it to the bottom of your layer palette. You are then going to either right click on the layer, and merge it, or use CTRL + E on your key board. After that you are going to click on the new layer you created and open up the window and go to Pattern Overlay. Using pattern two set the Blend Mode to Color Burn, and play with the Opacity if you would like. I left mine at 100% . After that you are done! You can add anything else you want to it. Here is my final products.
